Students will be graded:
Supervisors will evaluate the students weekly on:
Attendance and punctuality
Following directions
Productivity
Cooperation with supervisors and coworkers
Growth of independence
Evaluations will rate the studentÍs progress as strong, good, fair, or needs improvement.
Any student that receives a ñneeds improvementî will need to write a personal improvement plan based on weak areas and implement the plan.
Basic work requirements:
Classroom paperworkƒ.resume, job applications, etc.
Practicing job skills
Carrying out the job responsibilities on the job site.
Grades will be recorded as Pass/ Fail.
Presently the Resource RoomÍs Cognitively Delayed students are working on vocational type skills as sorting, following instructions, working for the cafeteria washing tables, doing laundry for the cafeteria, folding the laundry, and social skills. Later on, we will be developing our own job skills (business site) in the resource room to prepare for future employment.
At this time, the some of the students are out in the community at various job sites. The previous skills listed above will help them to develop the skills needed in the community work place.
