ASSIGNMENTS:
All assignments will be turned in on time. On days that assignments are due, they will be turned in at the beginning of the class period. Any assignments not handed in on time, or incomplete, are considered late. The final grade on late assignments will be reduced by 30%. All assignments will be done neatly. If I cannot read an assignment, it will be returned to the student to be redone and will be considered late. Penmanship and quality of work done are all part of figuring the grade for each homework assignment.
LATE ASSIGNMENTS:
If an assignment is late, the student has the opportunity to complete the assignment for reduced credit after school on the due date of the assignment. If the assignment is not turned in that day it will receive a zero and will not be accepted at a later time.
CONDUCT DURING TESTING SITUATIONS:
During testing situations there is to be no talking at all until the instructor has given the ñO.K.î
Talking= -5% from test score for each offense.
Cheating= the test will receive an automatic zero with no chance for retake.
GRADES:
A studentÍs grade is based on the following:
Homework=45%
Tests= 35%
Quizzes= 5%
Class Participation= 15%
Extra credit will be accepted when all student work is handed in. A student will not be allowed to do extra credit if there are any missing assignments.
The following grading scale is used to determine letter grades:
100%-90%= A
89%-80%= B
79%-70%= C
69%-60%= D
59% and below = F
Class Participation is graded on the studentÍs active participation in the class, being here, and being on time. Tardiness, absences, and lack of actively participating in class will reduce this grade. Points missed for excused absences can be made up. Students with an excused absence can make up for those missed points by coming in to the classroom at lunch time in order to go over the missed material. Arrangements must be made by the student.
I have read and understand these policies.
