VHS Classroom Rules                                Science Classroom Rules

1.  Be in your seat ready to work when bell rings.         1.  No Food or Beverages

2.  Bring required materials to class. (see below)          2.  Follow the directions at all times

3.  Complete all assignments on time.               3.  Clean your area before you leave

4.  Use appropriate language at all times.                      4.  Cheating is not permitted.

5.  Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.                 5.  Do not touch the water or gas at

Daily Materials

Disciplinary Consequences

 

1.  If you are not prepared for class you will receive a tardy.

2.  For Disruptive behavior: 

1 warning= verbal or name on board and logged into discipline record book

2nd infraction= 20 minutes detention, logged in record book

3rd infraction= 40 minutes detention, phone call home, sent to office for remainder of the class.

à     Turning on the water or gas at your table without permission will result in a 40 minute detention. (This is your warning!)

à     3 warnings= 20 minutes detention & phone call home

3.  For Severely disruptive behavior (fighting, vandalism, harassment, and willful disobedience) will result in the student being sent directly to the office.  The student will be required to make up the time spent out of the classroom.

 

Positive Reinforcements

 

1.  Positive notes sent home.

2.  Periodic Homework Passes will be awarded for quality work completed on time. 

3.  If no warnings are issued to a student over the course of the quarter, the student will receive one free homework pass to be used to replace any homework assignment score or it can be used as extra credit.

4.  Each class will decide upon a class reward for the quarter for good behavior.
