STUDENT COUNCIL CAMPAIGN 2006-07 Rules
1. No photocopying at the
school. You may print off one flyer/poster to be copied elsewhere.
2. Candidates may work
with running mates, but voters will vote for the candidate of their choice
regardless of running mates.
3. No flyers handed out
during lunch.
4. No flyers/posters are
to be placed on or in lockers by anyone except the registered locker owner.
5. Flyers/posters may be
posted only in the school hallways.
6. Do not remove or cover
the flyers/posters of other candidates. Doing so may result in removal
from the campaign
7. All flyers/posters must
be approved by student council advisor before distribution
Speeches:
1. Speeches can be no longer than 2 minutes.
2. Speeches will be given in alphabetical order starting with Treasurer,
Secretary, Vice President and concluding with President.
3. Speeches must be respectful
with no mention of other candidates names
4. Speeches will be given
at an assembly Tuesday September 12 during 6th period
Timeline:
1. Campaign begins Wednesday
September 6 and ends at 3:15 Monday September 11.
2. Candidate speeches must
be submitted for review to Mrs. Huston no later than Monday September
11 at noon.
3. Voting takes place Wednesday
September 13 in MARS class
4. Election results will
be posted Thursday September 14
