1st Semester Final Exam Configuration Instructions
In closing the 1st semester, all high school students will have three grades: 2nd Quarter Final, 1st Semester Exam, and 1st Semester Final. You will finish entering grades for 2nd Quarter and enter 1st Semester Exam grades including NG for students exempt from final exams. Please following the directions provided for configuring E-Class Grades for 1st Semester Exam.
- Determine the last assignment for the 2nd Quarter Grading Period.
- On the menu bar, select Class and scroll down to Grading Periods. Scroll down and enter the first assignment number for the 1st Sem. Exam.
- Select the check box for Allow alternate grade and click OK.
- On the menu bar, select Class and scroll down to categories. In the Categories For: pop-up box, select 1st Sem. Exam.
- On the menu bar, select Windows and scroll down to Assignments. Enter Final Exam assignment data as usual.
- On the menu bar, select Scores and enter letter grades or percentages for students who participated in the final exam.
- On the menu bar, select Style and scroll down to Screen Prefs In the Grading Period pop-up box, select 1st Sem. Exam and click OK.
- In the Scores window, enter NG in the Alt Description column.
- Make sure that your 1st Sem. Final bin is housing data from 1st Qtr Final to Latest Grading Period. Select Class on the menu bar and scroll down to Overall Summaries.
- Also select the Allow alternate grade if you intend to adust 1st Sem. Final grades for specific students.
- To enter alternate grades for 1st Sem. Final, select Style on the meun bar and scroll down to Screen Pref. In the Overall Summary pop-up box, select 1st Sem. Final.
- In the Scores window, enter the alternate discriptions as desired.
- Preview all three grading periods to check for accuracy. On the menu bar, select Window and scroll down to Summary. This screen shows final grades for all categories. The bolded grade beside the student name is the 1st Sem. Final grade. The final grade for each Grading Period is listed.
