Using Help Files
First Class Client has great help files! In fact, that is how I learned to use the advanced features of this program.
To use the Help Files
Select Help on the menu bar and scroll down to First Class Help.
Select to topic of choice and follow the directions.
Organize individual and group e-mail addresses via Address Book.
You can organize individual e-mail addresses and you can organize groups of e-mail addresses.
To enter individual e-mail addresses:
Select File on the menu bar and scroll down to Open and over to Address Book.
Click on the button New Personal Address.
(Or select File on the menu bar and scroll down to New and over to New Personal Address.)
Type in the Name of the person.
Enter the e-mail address. (You may want to use copy and paste.)
Enter other demographic data with Contact Info, Phone Numbers, and Notes tabs.
Close and save the New Personal Address.
To delete an unwanted new personal address:
Select, or open the address.
Depress Command D or go to File and Delete.To organize a group of e-mail addresses:
Select File on the menu bar and scroll down to Open and over to Address Book.
Click on the button New Personal Mail List.
(Or select File on the menu bar and scroll down to New and over to New Personal Mail List.)
Type in the Name of the list.
Enter the members of the list.
Type names of the people or
Select the Dir button to get a complete listing of personal e-mail address names.

To select multiple contiguous names, use the shift key.
To select multiple non-contiguous names, use the command (Apple) key.
Depress the Select button.
Close and save the New Personal Mail List.
You can include e-mail addresses provided (VCS) employees as well as personal addresses and groups when creating New Personal Mail Lists.
Communicate with colleagues via text chat.
Select Conferencing on the menu bar and scroll down to Who's On-Line.
This tells you who is logged into First Class Client at the moment.
Close this window.
Select File on the menu bar and scroll down to Open and over to Private Chat.
Key your message.
Select Invite and select the name of the person with whom you need to communicate.
After you type the message, strike the return key to send your message.
Conduct your business, then log off.
Organize e-mail messages in folders.
Open your Mail Box.
Click on the New Folder Button.
(Or select New on the menu bar and scroll down to New Folder.)
To Name the folder.Select the folder, then click one time on the words, "New Folder", name the folder.
Click and drag appropriate messages into the folder.You can create folders within folders.
Create a signature file.
A signature file is one that is displayed at the bottom of every message you send. It can include text, graphics, and/or sounds.
To create a signature file
Select Edit on the menu bar and scroll down to Preferences.
Click on the Signature tab.
You may choose to Automatically add signature to new messages or you may manually add your signature to select messages.
Create a resume file.
A resume file is one that includes information and may include a picture of you. It is a file to which all local First Class Client user have access. Your resume file should include information that you want people to know about you. To create a resume file:
Select File on the menu bar and scroll down to Open and over to Resume.
Enter your Name
Enter appropriate information.
Copy and paste your picture.
People can access your resume by selecting Service on the menu bar and scrolling down to Directory. When they double click your name, your resume will appear.
Set customized Preferences
You can set a preference for FCC to automatically spell check documents before sending.
Select Edit on the menu bar and scroll down to Preferences.
Select the Documenting Editing tab, then select Automatically check on send.You can set a preference for Reply to Sender to Reply to originator instead of Reply to all.
Select Edit on the menu bar and scroll down to Preferences.
Select Reply Sender in the Reply preference pop-up boxYou can set a preference to have an automatic reply to your e-mail messages.
Select Edit on the menu bar and scroll down to Preferences.
Select the Mail Rules tab, check the Reply automatically box and enter the message.You can set a preference to forward a copy of all e-mail messages to another e-mail account.
Select Edit on the menu bar and scroll down to Preferences.
Select the Mail Rules tab, select the Forward my mail box and enter the e-mail address.
View Document History and Unsend
You can "unsend" messages and they will disappear from the recipients Mailbox.
Select the appropriate message in the Mailbox.
Select Message on the menu bar and scroll down to Unsend.You can check the history of a message to see when it was sent, read, and deleted.
Select the appropriate message in the Mailbox.
Select Message on the menu bar and scroll down to History.
Customize FCC Tool bars
Select View on the menu bar and scroll down to Tool bars-->Customize Tool bars
Configure the Tool bar the way you want it.Save Buttons
