Course Description:
This course is tailored to educational uses of Microsoft Access. Databases in Education explores practical database applications encountered by teachers. Students will learn basic features of MS Access to maximize their productivity and to manage student data.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will use problem solving skills and acquired MS Access knowledge to determine the best formats and layouts for educational databases. Format considerations include determining field types and using built-in functions. Page layout considerations include column and row formats, charts, graphic elements, and hypermedia. Students will demonstrate usage of the MS Acces menu bar, ruler, and button bars.
