Course Description:

This course is tailored to educational uses of Microsoft Excel. MS Excel for Education explores practical spreadsheet applications encountered by teachers. Students will learn advanced features of MS Excel to maximize their productivity and to manage student data.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Students will use problem solving skills and acquired MS Excel knowledge to determine the best formulas and layouts for educational spreadsheets. Formula considerations include creating custom formulas and using built-in functions. Page layout considerations include column and row formats, charts, graphic elements, and hypermedia. Students will demonstrate usage of the MS Excel menu bar, ruler, and button bars.
